PURIFICATION SOLUTIONS FOR WASHING/DEGREASING IN ROLLED METAL

RESTORATIVE RECYCLING TECHNOLOGIES IN METALLURGY
In the rolling industry, cleaning/degreasing solutions (acid/alkali in combination with surface-active substances) are used to clean the product from oil and fat inclusions and scale.
As a result, a lot of impurities get into this solution, the main ones being scale and oil-fat inclusions. When the level of pollution crosses the critical limit, the solution is sent for chemical neutralization and further disposal.
The costs at this stage are quite significant, both for the acid/alkali reagents that did not react, which is about 50% of the original solution, and for the loss of time associated with stopping production, draining/replacing the spent solution and for cleaning the bath.
The Novasvit company has developed a recycling technology for the recovery of washing/degreasing solutions online (without stopping production) in rolling and electroplating industries.

- Technology allows you to continue filtering without frequent stops for washing or replacing filters. This is possible because solid particles move at a high speed along the membrane fibers, thanks to which the membrane surface is self-cleaning, small particles do not have time to attach to the fibers, they are knocked down by the following particles
- In the process of work, there still comes a moment when the contamination of the membrane reaches the limit and there is a need for chemical washing of the filter fiber. For this purpose, a special cleaning solution, which is provided by our company, has been developed. The periodicity of membrane washing is determined during the operation of the module and is carried out in automatic mode.
- Cleaning of the sedimentation tank is carried out as oil and fat pollution and scale increase, by draining from the lower valve, which is carried out manually by the operator
- Management of the automatic operation of the module is carried out by the internal controller, and control of the sump pumps is carried out directly by the operator on the pump control panel
The basis of the technology is a filter module with an FHDS membrane, which in tangential (circulation) mode performs complete cleaning of the solution from oil and fat inclusions and scale.
The filter module is designed in such a way that impurities do not remain on the membrane, but directly in the working container, while the filter fiber itself is hydrophilic, that is, passing water, it repels oil and fat inclusions and scale
The recycling technology of the Novasvit company allows you to recover used solutions for washing/degreasing, returning them to production, while the loss of chemical reagents and the amount of substances needed to neutralize acidic/alkaline components are significantly reduced, and most importantly, the burden on the environment is significantly reduced.
